Learn to express yourself through contemporary dance classes in East London, suitable for all levels - total beginner, reconnector to dance & intermediate.
Adore Dance London’s Contemporary Dance Classes in Stratford, Hackney Wick, Bow & Hackney are perfect for a fun & chilled introduction or reintroduction to contemporary dance. Contemporary dance blends elements of Ballet, Jazz & Lyrical for a modem and explorative genre of dance that’s become one of the most popular styles of dance throughout Europe and the US. You’ll focus on expressing yourself through progressive movements and unrestrained lines of dance, including oppositional moves, shifting alignments, expressions of emotions through dance, breathing, floor work and more.
Each of our Contemporary dance courses incorporates a fun & energetic mix of fundamental steps, foundation techniques, as well as, various routines. Each class is a perfect mix of developing the basic skills used in contemporary dance - whilst actually incorporating those movements into combinations & routines. This ensures you both improve as a dancer from the first week, but also have great fun by dancing in groovy routines.
Contemporary dance was first seen in the 20th century as dancers & choreographers wanted to move away from the strictness of Classical Ballet. Taking inspiration from various dance styles from across the world, unconventional movements and lines of dance were gathered to form what we call Contemporary dance.
